In addition to dues, member donations for Summer Interns help underwrite Holy Cross students in summer job opportunities with "not for profit" organizations that assist the Cape Cod community.
Please review the Summer Interns Program below.
Checks are payable to the Holy Cross Club of Cape Cod. Mail them to:
Please provide your name, graduation class, address, home phone number, & your E-mail address for our records.
The first $25 is for your dues and any excess for the Intern Program.
Each year a major goal is to help find and help fund special summer job opportunities for Holy Cross students with Cape Cod non-profit companies and organizations. Summer Internship programs are managed by the Holy Cross Career Planning Office. That office selects the students and coordinates the interviews with non-profit employers that our club selects.
The Holy Cross Leadership Council of New York sponsors over 150 summer interns each year.
They created a video to show the program's importance. Click INTERNSHIPS for the video.
Your contributions are matched by Holy Cross. In recent years Homeless Not Helpless, the Community Development Partnership, the Justice for Youth Collaborative, Cape Cod Hospital, and Pope John Paul II High School were chosen.
3 Holy Cross students were Cape Cod interns in the summer of 2015.
Each summer since opening in 2007 Pope John Paul II High School has provided job opportunities to our interns. In 2015, Homeless Not Helpless and Community Development Partnership also employed summer interns.
Holy Cross Book Prize
The Holy Cross Book Prize is presented to outstanding high school juniors in over 500 high schools each year. Winners are chosen by their high school faculty. The Holy Cross Book Prize Committee is seeking sponsors for Cape Cod and Island high schools. The sponsor selects the high school from a list of schools working with Holy Cross for the prize. The cost is $125 which covers three years of sponsorship.
The prize is the most recent edition of The Purple, the student run literary journal, and a book of poems ("Questions About Angels") written by Billy Collins '63. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Collins was our country's Poet Laureate.
